Fuel Gauge Notes
On GM trucks, distance-to-empty cannot be reprogrammed for a higher-capacity tank, so DTE can show about half the remaining mileage. The fuel gauge itself operates normally after the first few gallons are used from full. At high-flow truck-stop nozzles, automatic click-off fill may not work.
